Water levels are down to normal for August. The fish are pooled up and taking poorly. A nudge or a slow roll now and then and the occasional soft take is what you can expect for a for days. The rain today and cool temps may bring in a few more fresh fish as happened [...]

As predicted, under cool and rainy skies we are into some great fishing. Three rods in camp today all had fish on and several landed. Best of all two of the large grilse were “fresh-run “, one still had sea lice. Our holding pools are still holding good numbers of older fish too.The [...]

The near perfect river condition continue into August. The water came up again Saturday after a brief thunderstorm and the overnight temps have been cool. The fish are settled in to the holding pools giving anglers plenty of viewing pleasure by jumping and rolling plenty but they are taking hard. Strategies and fly patterns change [...]
